Doing all for the glory of God

Have you ever felt lost, frustrated, confused, afraid, wondering where in the world your life is going? Do you ask, “Why do I feel like a failure, I am doing everything right, I’m a good person I am kind, I work hard! I just can’t seem to win, I keep hitting a wall!! What am a doing wrong?” Well I have been there many times, even recently, it’s not fun at all and hurts like crazy. To be honest there is only one reasonable answer, and it’s a tough pill to swallow. Are you ready? Here it is: No matter who you are, what you do, or what your dreams are, or how hard you work, nothing will matter if you don’t put God at the center of your life and give Him the pen to your life story. This is a sermon a preached a while back. Philippians 3:12-14 Imagine yourself preparing to run a race. You constantly practice and make sure that you are prepared by conditioning, stretching, and training. Finally its race day, you stand a the starting line poised for the race to start. The shot is fired and the race is on, you put all or your preparation into practice to launching yourself off the line, you pace yourself and reach toward the finish line. All around you there is the sound of people cheering and the feet of your opponents pounding the ground furiously. For an instant you are tempted to look back and see how far ahead you are, but you know that if you look back you risk loosing focus and falling behind. I will not cease to trust the Lord I will follow him wherever he leads. It will be hard but my friends I challenge you to pick up the cross and follow yes follow hard after Christ. So many times O so many times I want to turn and go the easy way but I know that my God is still at my side. He is always with us he will not forget who we are when we are his. Though it is so hard to press through the fog and confusion of life we must not lose faith. God loves us so let us Follow hard after Christ and forge through each day knowing that he is there. Follow after Christ may never give up may we never lose hope even when the world around us is crumbling let us follow Christ. Let us rely on the strength he gives us. May times we say “why is this happening I feel alone” let us remember that God is in control and everything He does is for our good. He is always at our side lifting us up, crying when we cry, broken when we are broken down. He is always faithful to lift us up. Let us trust the Lor...

Lord when I feel alone you are always near.I know I can depend on you. When all my friends have left me I know, yes I know that you are near and whenever I need a friend I can count on you. I will follow where you lead me for I know that you have a plan for me for you are my God and you are my King. I know that as long as I follow you I will never fall for you are, yes I know you are near. I will go where ere you lead me Lord. I know that whatever be fall you are always near you are my God you are my King you are my Lord you are my every thing. I know that any wisdom I may have has come from you for I know you are all mighty and undefeatable God, creator, maker and protector. This I know this one thing I know you are Always near.

Lord I do not understand your plan for me but, I know that it is best, and I know I must trust you. But it is so hard because I do not understand. Please Open my eyes and show me what you would have for me. I cannot go through another day without you so I give myself to you. I want to serve you, but it is just so hard because I cannot see what you have for me. Please open my eyes and let me see you, let the rain fall and wash the clouds from my eyes so I may see you. Your plan is holy and your plan is best. Please Lord please open my eyes and help me have faith in your plan. Lord I know that you are sovereign and you know what is best. You do not delight in my confusion but are weeping with me. I know you are working in my life, and I know you are opening my eyes. Give me comfort Lord so that I may see you plan.
